I lived in Cardington from 1980-1986, and again in the early 90's. I have a lot of GREAT memories growing up there! I get back now and again to visit family and friends.

I heard on TV that the community of Cardington was doing some type of fundraising. I would like to be put in touch with a person in regards to helping with the fundraising.

Cardington was a very nice place where I met some very nice people who made part of my life when I was an exchange student(1989/1990). IŽd like also to write down some names of some people who makes Cardington so wonderfull.
Jane & Jack Edgell & family
Bob & June Gompf & family
the rotay members...(so many)
Angie Smith, Beulah Smith and Holmer Smith (in memorian)
Burdsall family
David and Sandy Steck
Mrs. Landon (is she still alive?)
Many others which I cant remember the names, but people of pizza pirate, teachers of school, Pastor Smith, people from churches (methodist and Nazarene), my friends from school and specially the ones which I went to DC with the NHS.
I will be back some time to visit you all.

Hello Cardington! I grew up in Cardington and graduated in 1987. I miss living there very much. The big city isn't all it's cracked up to be! My husband and I say we will move to Cardington if we ever lose our jobs here in Dayton!!

I graduated in 74 from Cardiington. It was a neat place to grow up. I lived at 221 Gilead street. Sold the home and moved to Florida after my Fathers death.

There is nothing like being at the football games on friday nights and the basketball games with the people that you knew and grew up with.

I remember drinking hot chocolate in the foam cups as a kid when the games were played at the old elementary/middleschool/highschool. We would use the cups as a football and play smear the queer behind the grandstands that were on the ball diamond there at now #@*%! Pace Field.

I can remember when the new Gym which has been recently replaced, opened in I believe 1968. It was about that time when Cardington opened its' community swimming pool that still stands.

I was there for the tornadoes, the blizzards and many things and moved in 1982 to the paradise that is Florida. No snow, no ice. I am ashort hop to the ocean. I have Disneyworld, Universal Studios, Sea World and Busch Gardens at my disposal.

If I liked Nascar it is right here. Key West is 4 hours drive. It is beautiful here.

Best Wishes
Dennis Thompson

Many good memories of Cardington in the 70's & 80's, although it has never been the same since the tornadoes came through town.

I moved here in March of '06. My neighbors are friendly, but thats it. I am not from this town and people stare at me like I'm a freak. The water tastes like sewage and is priced like gold. The cops circle like sharks and can't wait to bust you. I want to flip this house a.s.a.p. and get out.
